The 2020 campaign in Ribera del Duero has become the third largest in history after 2016 and 2018.

According to the appellation’s own sources, despite the inclement weather, the first wines made with grapes from this vintage showed “intense aromatics, freshness and good structure”. Therefore, the 2020 harvest showed a good grape, with quality and good health, where 123,100,000 kilos of grapes were harvested, 122,007,575 reds, Tempranillo above all, and almost 1.5 million whites, mainly albillo mayor. The rains gave way to the wind, which helped dry the bunches, leaving a grape that ripened more slowly, but with great potential.
In fact, the DO. Ribera del Duero confirms that the first tastings showed the countless possibilities for the wines made with the 2020 harvest grape: “The young wines are fresh, structured, and with a great aromatic and colour charge” they confirm.
